February 2021, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony was held between the agri-tech company iFarmer and re-commerce platform SWAP. In this ceremony, iFarmer CEO Fahad Ifaz, COO Jamil M Akbar, and Managing Director and CEO Md. Parvez Hossain from SWAP and Director of SWAP Tanmoy Saha were present.This long-term business collaboration between iFarmer and SWAP will be applicable for major cities like Dhaka, Khulna, Chottogram, Sylhet, Narayanganj, Bogra, and Brahmanbaria.
The target of this collaboration is to build an end-to-end circular economy and turning e-waste to green Bangladesh along with creating economic stability for farmers.
iFarmer and SWAP's collaboration will help the users to invest in iFarmer's farms in exchange for their unwanted or unused items and get profitable returns over time.
