Know the products to be sourced very well.
Get connected with the growers of the products to be sourced.
Evaluate price and service offerings of different sources.
Inspect the sources physically to get a better understanding.
Record all the details of the sources of the products on a database. There should be at least three different sources per product.
Ensure the best quality products in the most cost-effective way.
Update the database with the pre-order, during-order, and after-order KPIs (meeting quality specifications, delivery schedule, financial terms, etc.). Rank the sources based on their performance.
Nurture the suppliers continuously so they improve day by day.
Identify and report the reorder level and safety stock of the products.
Prepare and maintain all the necessary documents related to sourcing, purchasing, and procuring.
Develop new sources, develop new products, and develop new strategies to develop new markets.
3-5 years of experience in similar role preferably in a similar industry
A demonstrated history of achieving business goals
Bachelor or Master of any subject
Comfortable with frequent field visits
