Quality Assurance Engineer (Automation)

Job Overview:

We are looking for a QA Engineer with hands-on experience in automation testing using tools like Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress. The role includes UI and API testing (Postman/SoapUI), basic performance testing (JMeter), and test case execution for web and mobile apps.

Candidate should have knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, CI/CD basics, and experience with JIRA. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to grow in automation testing while working in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in building and maintaining automation test scripts using tools like Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
• Support UI and API testing using tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
• Exposure to basic performance testing with tools like JMeter is a plus.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript and basic understanding of DOM manipulation.
• Familiarity with test case design and execution for both web and mobile applications.
• Experience using JIRA for defect tracking and test lifecycle management.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how automation fits into release cycles.
• Willingness to learn and adapt new testing tools, frameworks, and QA methodologies.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on functional, UI, and regression test coverage.
• Ability to collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other team members.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, retrospectives) to support quality goals.
• Demonstrates a proactive mindset toward improving QA processes and practices.
